Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) Unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup Packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 Large eggs
- 2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually beat in the dry flour mixture just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a spatula.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still slightly soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
