10-Minute Garlic Butter Shrimp

Plump, juicy shrimp seared in a rich garlic butter sauce with a burst of fresh lemon and parsley. The ultimate fast and elegant meal.

  1. Pat the shrimp completely dry with paper towels. Season well with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of the butter.
  3. Place the shrimp in the skillet in an even layer. Let them sear undisturbed for 1 minute until browned on the bottom.
  4. Flip the shrimp. Add the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Cook for 1 more minute, stirring continuously, until the shrimp are pink and opaque and the garlic is fragrant (do not burn the garlic).
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat immediately.
  7. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley. Toss the shrimp in the sauce to coat.
  8. Serve warm, spooning the extra garlic butter sauce over the shrimp.
